I know of a group of young adults who live in Papua who's familiar with tribal dances however have no means of supporting themselves due to lack of education and other skills. They have a good sense of rythmn and operate best with 3-4 other members. They are looking for opportunities to perform cultural dances and find a way to support and improve themselves. Any interests ?

I'm curious if these are people from PNG or a mixture? Also, can you provide more detail on their history - how long they've been together? I have some friends I'm hoping with join the SFC as they have expertise in encouraging work like this... and from SEAsia.

These young people are mainly from Papua although there are some from nearby islands ... these are street kids that some friends been working with .... over the years (maybe 3 - 6 years).... some of them "perform" over a 3 hour event every Friday nite on the streets in downtown Sentani with a band from their community centre interspersed with worship / cultural dance ... Dependent on their involvement and openess, some follow along the worship while others just watch from a distance ... invariably they'll swing / sway their body in rythmn when they identify a familiar cultural song from an area / tribe / ethnic group ..they are familar with ! would love to post a couple of one minute videos to demonstrate what i am talking about. The town authorities and police are very supportive of these community events - their community cell leaders mingle with the crowd and befriend them inviting them to a community event .... or just relate with them to build relationships ..

just to follow up on the last post, is there a possibility of embedding youtube and/or other social media within the *fish "forum" framework?

There is now a feature that now allows you to embed a video in a post. The option comes up after you've created a post - you can upload a video or a document to your posting.

You'll see the option in a blue box below where you posted that looks like this:

Edit your post. Attach a file to this post. Attach a video.

Hopefully this will help. Please let me know if you have any problems with this.
