Need Help for Kenya Flooding - Education / Med Supplies

The director of the Regional Disaster Managerment Center in Kenya, Mr. Shem I. Amadi, has said the most helpful things would be education and medical response for the immediate after-affects of this disaster:

  1. Preparation for drought following the floods.
  2. Education and medical supplies (water purification, mosquito nets) for outbreaks of Malaria & Typhoid

Is there any more information about the history of this area or the work that Mr. Amadi has done in the past?
