Hi, I'm based in LA - over 15 years working with NGO's and now working with filmmakers to capture stories around the globe. I'm good friends with a HISG staff member who told me about this network. We want to get rolling with short stories (3 - 6 minutes) or 22 minute documentaries. The goal is to inspire people to respond to overlooked needs around the globe. Please feel free to pitch us a story that we wouldn't be able to refuse to capture.

Thanks for offer! We've got a story of a community attacked by terrorists who were trying to incite a larger conflict, but the attack has instead brought Muslims and Christians together to heal their city.

Another good story would be this shelter in Ethiopia for girls who escape from that country's sex trade.

A third possibility would be a lady from Texas who is working tirelessly to supply clothes, food, and shoes to refugees stuck in No Man's Land between Iraq and Syria.

If any of these sound interesting to you, I'd love to talk with some more.

Here are two projects/stories that we are excited about telling. Not sure if any of your work can be faith based, but here goes:

1. Story of the Mizo peope: The Mizo people in North East India send missionaries into the field with nothing more than a handful of rice. A traditional 3-4 minute documentary style video will look at this incredible act of giving and resource mobilization for the Kingdom.

2. Story of Bishop Hannington: An African pastor walked several days to attend a seminar on generosity and stewardship by International Steward. On his way back to his village, he saw his fellow villagers fleeing the village. He went with them with to a refugee camp with nothing more than the clothes on his back and the white, 3 ring binder given to him by International Steward. For 2 weeks he was in a depression. He then emerged, realized that he was to use all that God had given him for his glory and began, in the refugee camp, to preach on generosity. What then followed was a concerted outpouring of generosity from that camp that was, in effect, the Widow's mite x100 as the refugee camp began taking care of the needs of families of prisoners held in a nearby penitentary.

Sorry for the hiatus!

Since it will take time to get to film and produce the stories - any stories that we can't get to, we can pass on to other filmmakers in our network to consider filming.

Some of my friends are having success raising funds to film via indiegogo.com or kickstarter.com so we can post a project to film and see if the finances come into get a project done.
