- Report of situation as of 10pm Eastern time, Thur, Jan 21: well caved in: no water; roofs caved in on food: no food; people outside walls of ministry compound believe there is food and water inside compound and the people are becoming desperate and potentially violent.
-
of people inside LHM compound: approximately 40
- updated report (if possible): are people still outside, seeming threatening? Two people died last night (Thursday Jan 21st due to lack of water). They still desperately need food and water for the LHM compound and the surrounding area.
- children and babies are most at risk for dying from dehydration and diarrhea. Has dehydration or diarrhea started among the children or babies? The young children are experiencing diarrhea.
- children in crisis in any other ways (safety, etc.)? Apparently, some incarcerated men escaped out of the crumbled jail in Port-au-Prince and some have made their way to Carrefour. They are dangerous and everyone is scared.
Have they sent anyone to NGOs close by and to military?

This will be VERY useful for medical teams needing medical supplies in Haiti. They have a stockpile of meds and antibiotics that you can access if you register and demonstrate a need. The HISG team will be attending the Shelter and Food Cluster meetings at the UN LOGBase
USAID/Haiti's Health Team is coordinating the US government health/medical response and is providing support to the Health Cluster, which is the Pan American Health Organization run coordination of all NGO and international donor country relief support, to make sure that all NGOs that need supplies get them. All international NGOs have access to the medical supplies and commodities that are coming into the country. They are available at the PROMESS warehouse in Port au Prince, which is 1/2 mile past the UN Logistics Base on the Airport Road in the Airport Industrial Park. If you have a truck to come get them, please come in to pick them up. If you need a truck to transport them or other supplies (tents, etc.) please come to the 4:00 pm daily meeting of the Health Cluster that is held at the UN LogBase and you can coordinate with others who are there offering transportation and tents.
