HISG through our friends at Strategic Global Initiatives have a great contact in Haiti! Thank you Ronnie Lewis and Wayne Graham!

His name is Junior Bataille in Port Au Prince. Tabernacle of Glorie. They have 30,000 members in their 18 churches around Haiti. They have office space available, a medical area that needs medial teams and supplies, they have medical staff in their churches and an administration team ready to serve with you! They also have vehicles and people to serve.

We have access to a large amt of medical supplies here in Rochester- trying to get them there is the challenge. Thought we had a cargo ship set to take them from New ORleans, but looks like that is not going to happen. Any suggestions?

We have 3 medical teams getting ready to go. 1st can be on its way tomorrow. We had planned on them taking the ship from N.O. Now that is not likely to happen. Any suggestions about best ways in? Going to Santo Domingo and trying to hop a caravan?? We can get charter flights from canada into Puerto Plata, DR - on the north coast - very reasonable cost. Anyone know if there's transport from there into Haiti? OR - Can you fly to Cap Haitian? I find no commercial air service.

Also - crisis relief of singapore has a medical team leaving singapore wed. currently planning on going to Sto Domingo, DR. They will face the same travel challenges.

John, also i would contact Junior above as he has Drs and nurses on the ground there. His father is pastor of 30,000 people in 18 churches.

Water Missions staff on the ground in Carrefour have made contact with Junior and are conducting assessments for safe water needs in this area west of PAP and how Tabernacle of Glorie can assist.
