Connections to Ophthalmic Equipment??
HISG just received this request below. Anyone know about any sources that can assist these folks?
It seems that most exciting opportunity for us right now is to open a private, for-profit eye clinic here in __. Along with seeing patients, we hope to sell eye-care related surgical supplies and medications. We envision the clinic to also be a center for training and a base for outreaches to the rural underserved.
During our initial start-up time, we are looking to obtain various ophthalmic examination equipment (ex. a slit lamp with a goldmann tonometer and digital camera, an exam chair, and stand for phoropter). Do you have any thoughts on who we could contact about obtaining these items, and what options might exist for shipping them over?
We have a medical equipment recycling non-profit here in Rochester called Intervol I can check with to see if they have anything like this.
You could also try International Aid in Spring Lake, MI - they have a lot of used medical equipment - or at least used to have.
checked with the warehouse here in Rochester - the only thing they have is a cataract detection system. would that be helpful?
