Faces Behind the Labels

More than 200 people turned out for the launch of Faces Behind the Labels, a music and arts festival designed to spotlight the plight of China's migrant workers, held in Southern California Dec 5, 2009.

Observe International Migrant Worker Day and remember those who make 80% of the goods purchased in America. See www.facesbehindthelabels.com for further info!

If I'm reading it correctly, TODAY (as I write this post) is the day.

The website says....

DECEMBER 18TH, Wear your shirt Inside Out for “International Migrant Day”

Where would this country (USA) and the world in general without these critical workers?

Let's hope that the years ahead bring a more equitable treatment and "living wage" to this group of folks.
